Woots. As in my nick, 头文字 D which is Initial D in chinese is going to hit the Singapore cinemas on the 23rd of June in live action (meaning real humans act as characters in the anime and manga). So let me give you guys a preview of what it is....

Initial D originated from a manga drawn by artist Shuichi Shigeno and then later the anime version came out. It's a world of car drifting where the battlefield is the mountain road in Mt Akina, Japan. It's a story about the fastest street racer of Mt Akina, Japan. For 5 years,18 year old Takumi has been delivering tofu in his father's obsolescent Toyota AE86 Trueno every morning. Not only has he become a good racer, but he has also unwittingly perfected the art of drifting. He was never an aficionado of hill racing until he is asked by his father to drive his AE86 in a race against Red Suns Keisuke's FD. A glorious but unexpected victory awakens the competitive genes in his blood, while his overnight fame inevitably leads to hellraising races one after another, each one more perilous and exciting than the previous one.

The D of the title stands for Drifting. A racing technique of braking the rear tires loose in a controlled manner right before an uncontrolled skid. Drifting is the fastest way through a corner. A car is considered to be drifting when all of its wheels are slipping, however the front wheels are still pointed in the direction of the corner, or at least straight.

So that's about the brief introduction about the anime. Now to the movie which is jointly produced by a Japan company and Hong Kong company directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak. The stars includes, Jay Chou as Fujiwara Takumi, Edison Chen as Ryosuke Takahashi, Shawn Yue as Takeshi Nazakato, Jordan Chan as Kyouchi Sudou, Anne Suzuki as Natsuki Mogi and Anthony Wong as Fujiwara Bunta, Kenny Bee as Yuuichi Tachibana and Chapman To as Itsuki Takeuchi.

Here's a picture of the main cast...

Brief introduction of their characters in the show...

Fujiwara Takumi as above in paragraph 2.

Ryosuke Takahashi
One of the more highly skilled drivers in the series, he and his younger brother Keisuke in the team Akagi Red Suns have been featured in racing magazines and is regarded highly by other drivers. Ryousuke drives a Mazda FC3S RX-7 and has never been defeated in a race before until he met Fujiwara Takumi.

Takeshi Nazakato
Takeshi Nakazato of the Myogi NightKids, who is also known as the Black Lightning, first makes his appearance at the race in Akina where Keisuke Takahashi of the Red Suns is to race against Takumi. Surprised that Takumi, Takeshi decides that he's going to be the one to challenge the 'Akina downhill specialist' with his Nissan Skyline GT-R, and that the Red Suns are next on his list.

Kyouchi Sudou
From Nikko, Tochigi and rated as one of the best drivers in the series, Kyouchi Sudou is the team leader and driving ace of the Lancer Evolution-only Emperor team, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III. He is also the first to defeat Takumi in the show.

Natsuki Mogi
A senior high student in Gunma Province, Natsuki has been Takumi's classmate since elementary school. She was the love interest of Takumi, but alas when Takumi found out that she sidelines as an social escort, he decided to alienate from her.

Fujiwara Bunta
Bunta Fujiwara is the owner of a tofu shop in Akina and the father of Takumi, he is the best driver in the series. He is the original driver of the mysterious AE86 that holds the record of the fastest downhill time at Mt. Akina.

Yuuichi Tachibana
The boss of the gas station that Takumi worked in. An old friend of Bunta's, and a racer in his youth.

Itsuki Takeuchi
Itsuki is Takumi's best friend; he provides the comic relief in the series but quite loud and obnoxious. Itsuki works part-time at a gas station with Takumi and Iketani. He drives an AE85 Levin.

It is also rumoured that the "Drift King" of Japan, Keiichi Tsuchiya, is signed to do the drifts for the movie. He is known as the "Drift King" for his nontraditional use of drifting in non-drifting racing events, and his role in popularizing drifting as a motorsport. He is also known for mountain pass driving. The car he is most famous for driving is a Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno which is what Takumi drives. So be sure to catch this movie because it's definitely one hell of a power one this year.

Boo. 1 more week to SIP. Soooo screwed. AND I HAVE TO START 1 DAY EARLIER! Ah well, a good official chance to skip the last lesson for my VT CDS.

Well, after all my holiday wasn't that screwed. Before the start of the VT CDS, I thought it was so gonna kill me. But, I really find it fun now. Especially after communicating with my group members. They are really cool people I must say. Everyone have their strong point towards the group. Project deadline is next week and after that its all over! I CLEAR MY 10CUs of CDS!

This Sunday going out with the guys. Gonna skip the cycling session and straight for the dinner session with Jerry and Jason. Ah well, we all know why. =D

Enough of picture entertainment, here's some word form entertainment.

There was this case in a hospital's intensive care ward where patients always died in the same bed and always on Friday mornings, regardless of their medical conditions. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought that it had to do with the supernatural. So the doctors decided to go down to that particular ward to investigate the cause.

Come Friday morning, everyone at the hospital ward nervously waited for the terrible phenomenon to occur again. Some held wooden crosses, prayer books and other holy objects to ward off evil.... As the time approached, their hearts began beating anxiously, and with every beat of the clock, everyone held their breath........ .... Then Ah Soh, the part-time Friday cleaner, came into the room and unplugged the life support system so that she could use the vacuum cleaner.

John, the soccer coach for Bo Ka Lan Football Club, was disappointed with his team for losing all the time and decided to ask the all time great soccer coach, Wah See Ong for having an excellent team.

Oh hearing John's woes, See Ong said, 'Simple, John, I choose able men for my team. 'John asked, 'Yes, but how do you know that they are able?' See Ong replied, Just ask them simple questions to test their intelligence. They don't need to be too difficult. Let me illustrate to you.'

Just then, Lin Beh Zai was walking by, See Ong called out to him, 'Hey Beh Zai, come over here.' Beh Zai obediently walked briskly over. See Ong asked, 'Tell me, Beh Zai, who is your father's son ?'

Beh Zai immediately replied, 'Me! Of course.' See Ong turned to John and said, 'See, all my players can answer this question. Why don't you go back and try.' John thank See Ong and left.

Once he was back, he immediately summoned See Ah Kow, his star player, and asked him the question, 'Tell me, Ah Kow, who is your father's son ?' Ah Kow was shocked beyond words and did not know the answer.

After a while, he recovered and said, 'Wah so chim Coach, let me go ask ask and then I'll tell you tomorrow.' John, a bit disappointed, agreed, hoping that Ah Kow will give a good answer tomorrow.

Ah Kow went to ask around and found his good friend, Tan Bo Lui, who was also a star player in another team. 'Eh Bo Lui, I ask u ah! Who is your father's son?' After hearing, Bo Lui replied angrily, 'Kan ni na, you ask kum gong question leh! Of course is me lah!'

Satisfied that he got the answer, Ah Kow confidently walked into John's office and said, 'Coach, I know the answer liao lah!.'

John was happy that he got an answer and asked immediately, 'So tell me, who is your father's son?' Ah Kow confidently answered, 'IT'S BO LUI!'

John slapped his own forehead and said, 'No you stupid! It's BEH ZAI!'

After 3 days of my VT CDS (Vacation Term Cross Disciplinary Subject) , Psychology of Creativity. Like the name and first impression would be, "OMG, its psychology!" That's like rather CUI. But nada nada, it's about Creativity. I can say that it is a rather interesting subject. Some reviews about it...

Creativity can be defined in terms of accomplishments, "achievements that are original and make a meaningful contribution to culture." Creativity is the "capacity to produce new ideas, insights, inventions or artistic objects, which are accepted of being of social, spiritual, aesthetic, scientific, or technological value." Too chim? Basically it's just the theory shit. As usual of me, I screw the theory part and take more interest into the practical part. In simpler terms, Creativity is not to come up with ideas that is accepted by the society.

Well, so far the tutorials were entertaining. We did IQ test, CQ test (Creativity Quotient) and analyzed great legendary creative people like Leonardo Da Vinci and Thomas Edison. Did crazy stuffs that won't appear in normal tutorials. More interaction with classmates and movements unlike everyone sitting on chairs and writing on tables.

Lecture was rather boring except a few videos that were interesting. Had a guest speaker on Wed lecture. His name is Alex Kang and he's an R&D human factor engineer for Hewlett Packard Singapore and was awarded 6 US utility patents. That's like WOW because it's so hard to get 1 and he got 6. Somemore he had 3 more patents pending. Impressive huh?

Next week will be the workshops for us to discovery where our creativity lies. There will be 5 and each class will attend 3. Too bad, we can't chose because its pre-fixed for us. The 5 are, Charocoal Painting, Pottery, Music, Archaeology and Fashion Torso. If it was me, I would have chosen Pottery, Music and Archaeology. How about you?

That's about it. No pics for today because stupid photobucket is down. -_-"

Twins -

Oh yea, this song is just sooooo nice. So I can't resist but to put it up. Hmm, something for you guys to find out, why I see greg's nick in the lyrics... *ponders*

Saturday, April 9

Yes yes, the post you guys been waiting for is here....

Exam is over, POM as the last paper was rather CUI to me because I think I wrote rubbish all the way. Well, too bad the rubbish made me pass with a grade D. *grins* Had alot of fun from the finish of exam to today. I will slowly elaborate below so go grab a sandwich and drink before continuing.

Hmm, lets try to recall. *think* After POM paper, Jerry was suppose to accompany Greg and gang to Sim Lim to buy some stuffs. But I wanted to watch tv in the evening and we (Jason and me) had already made plans to go the next day, so I decided not to go. Here comes the funny part, Greg continuously suan Jerry about his interview the next day that Jerry decided not to go as well. *LOL* So the 3 of us managed to escape away to Tampines Central and went to Swensens for ice cream. Been a long time since I went there and the ice cream is still as good as before. *yum*

The next day, went to Harbor Front in the afternoon to accompany Jerry for his interview. After he went for his interview, Jason and I went to look for the arcade and to our great disappointment, IT CLOSED DOWN! *dulan* Oh yeah, how great can that be. So got his interview done and over with within 30mins and we left Harbor Front. Went ahead with Jason to Bugis to meet Darren. They bought WoW (World of Warcraft) and it cost like $150++. *O_O* So damn expensive shit. Again took us less than 30mins so we went home straight after that. Those 2 were so keen to try their WoW, so bo bian. Anyway if it was me, I would be that keen too.

Went to PS with Ian on thursday to watch House of Fury. Oh yea, as expected it was really funny and their martial arts moves were OMFG good. It was like watching Rock Lee moves but done by real life humans. After that went to find Garrett at his workplace which was at Taka. Couldn't find him at first because I didn't know if it was inside Cold Storage or outside. So walked around and finally saw him. He was busy with alot of aunties who wanted to try the coffee I guess. *shrugs* Didn't walked up because his boss was around. So went back to Tampines to eat Gelare.

Friday went over to Jerry house to supposely test the chilli stingray for him but the chilli was no where to be found. So ended up eating Pizza and so on only. The 2 of them played PS2 all the way and i was almost close to dozing off.

Sunday went to do the shopping for the food for the BBQ with Jerry, Jason and Darren. Bought hell lot of shit and took a hard time to carry all of them back. Again back at Jerry house they went PS2 again. *zzzz*

Then came Tues, the 1st day of the chalet. We gathered at Jerry house and took my dad car down. Checked in and stuffs. PS2 again! LoL. But this time we had multi tap so it was 4 players Ninja Turtle time! Went out to the bus stop with Greg to fetch Yanjing and gang in. I walked over to the Sundry shop to buy Salt and Pepper for Jerry to marinate whatever he needed to marinate. Bloody hell, that little bit of Salt and Pepper costed $4 something. It was as good as putting my head on the chopping board and let the uncle chop it off.

BBQ was a pain in the ass. We took umpteen number of attempts to start the fire and the sky just has to screw with us. *jiok dulan* Finally we got it started and BBQ was rather successful. Derrick and Selvin were great help at the pit. After BBQ were a few activities going on. It's either Mahjong or PS2 or Mahjong or PS2 again. Although some of the girls prefer to shut themselves upstairs. Got an arm injury when Jerry decided to jump on me on the mattress. *-_-* Then they decided to off all the lights and play fatal frame 2. I watched them play till around 6 and fell asleep.

Woke up at 9 and everyone was still sleeping except a few. So went to prepare stuffs for breakfast and after that it was on PS2 again. Went out to Bedok to buy lunch for everyone with Jerry. Ran around Bedok Central to get all the various stuffs. Finally, back at the chalet and rest awhile while waiting for them to eat. Then, a total of 8 of us went to the beach to play water bomb. Jason, Ivy, Huiling and Me VS. Jerry, Greg, Yongxiang, Sianghoe. Accumulated a serious back injury when Jerry decided to pin me down so as to throw me into the sea. AND IT'S STILL HURTING NOW! I went to see chinese physician twice for my back injury and hoping it will recover before Monday.

Finished watching Naruto until the latest series available. So I should be able to return to Darren soon. Actually, I have more to write but since I wrote a hell load so I'll just leave it to next time.

And as usual custom of my blog, a pic for you guys. *winks*
