First of all, I need to announce this to everyone. I NEED A NEW GAME TO PLAY! I'm like a drug addict without a drug now. It's really killing me.
Anyway, yesterday was my eldest cousin's big day. I had never heard from her that she had a boyfriend and suddenly, "BOOM" getting married liao. No idea what's with the tight lips about relationships. She and my cousin-in-law actually knew each other for 4 years liao. My 2nd eldest cousin is just like his sister. 2 years relationship with his girlfriend and we all didn't knew.
Well, first time I been through a family wedding occasion. Very new and fresh to me. Chinese has really alot of traditions that we all still follow today. The most exciting 1 would be the tea ceremony. After the Bridegroom and Bride served tea to the elders, it was us, the younger generation to serve tea to the newly weds. Haha, good for me though, I get ang bao for doing a simply task. =p
After that was the usually wedding dinner at night. First time I felt comfortable at a wedding dinner because it was all my close relatives at the same table. So there were no situation of "There is a last piece of the food on the plate and everyone looks at each other and smile, paiseh to take it, when finally the waiter comes and takes it away and everybody didn't get to eat but stare at the waiter taking it away".
Doesn't that just happen always, and sometimes you will just go, "Wah lan, last piece of abalone/lobster just wasted like that."
2004 is coming to an end...
Number of wedding dinners attended this year: 6
New record: 6
